- 네트워크 인터페이스, IP 주소, 라우팅, ARP 를 통합해서 다루는 명령어
- iproute2 패키지에 포함되어 있다.
- 경로 : /sbin/ip
- 예전의 ifconfig, route, arp, netstat 을 대체한다. 최근 배포판은 이들을 기본 설치하지 않는다.
- VLAN, 터널, 네임스페이스 등 ifconfig 로는 다룰 수 없는 기능을 지원한다.
